This is a complete collection of all 18 Freeware Carriers and the Carrier Ops package RCBCO-20 which enables the catapult and arrestor zones plus the necessary aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg edits required to get your aircraft to land on the carriers.

Install everything (Documentation FOlders are optional) to your Flight Simulator 9 directory. DO NOT overright any newer files. Aircraft folder is optional as well if you don't have the IRIS Tornado (See below).

The RCBco-20.zip package was developed by Rob Barendregt and Doug Dawson and is freely available on a number of freeware sites.

Todd McKee compiled a few replacement ini files for the RCBco package which include all the arrestor and catapult zones for 18 of the available freeware carriers including the FS2004 default carrier in the San Fransisco Bay area. These ini files are included in this package.

Alejandro Villa compiled a freeware collection called car2004a.zip which contains 18 freeware carriers scattered about the world. This compilation is included here.

Once this is installed you will have all 18 carriers and the zones for launching and landing on these carriers installed into your FS2004 folders ready for use.

The next step is to make or download a jet capable of landing on the carriers. You can grab the F-14B model by Jeff Dobbing and company or the F-14D (f14drev1final.zip) distributed by Steve Hinson and company. Both of these are nicely done and inlclude all the panel and aircraft edits you need to land and take-off from any of these carriers.

Alternatively I've included a panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg file for the freeware IRIS Tornado 4.2 which is available at www.irissimulations.com. This aircraft is superb and a real treat to fly for both panel and Virtual Cockpit jockeys. I highly recommend getting this aircraft for your hanger. If you install the IRIS Tornado prior to installing this carrier ops package you will be able to jump in and land the tornado on any of the carriers with nothing else to prepare! (The panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg files included here are ready to go)

Many of the carriers are selectable as an airport if you choose to search add-on scenery when planning your flight.

I hope this saves people a lot of worry and headache about how to install the carriers and get the aircraft to work with them. All of the original documentation for each of the packages I've combined are included so you can always modify the panel and aircraft config files for your other jets to use them with the carriers too.
